The 36-year-old striker has agreed to a mutual contract termination with Manchester United on Thursday and has reportedly agreed to sign a deal with MLS side LA Galaxy. Ibrahimovic's move to MLS should be finalized until the end of the week.
“Great things also come to an end and it is time to move on after two fantastic seasons with Manchester United.” – wrote Ibrahimovic on his Instagram profile. “Thank you to the club, the fans, the team, the coach, the staff and everybody who shared with me this part of my history.“Zlatan Ibrahimovic joined Manchester United in July 2016, signing a one year deal with the team. He ended up playing 46 games in all competitions in the 2016-17 season and scoring 28 goals. Ibrahimovic suffered serious ligament damage in his knee on 20 April, which saw him being sidelined for the season. He signed a new deal with the team after recovering from injury, but struggled to find playing time and was featured in just 7 games, scoring one goal. Due to a minor injury, he failed to play a single game in 2018.“Everyone at the club would like to thank Zlatan for his contribution to the team since his arrival and wishes him well for the future.” – said Man Utd in a statement.Prior to joining Man Utd, Zlatan Ibrahimovic also played for Malmö FF, Ajax, Juventus, Internazionale, Barcelona, Milan and Paris Saint-Germain
