One day , Alex went next door to see her friend Hannah.
一天，艾利克斯去对门看她的朋友汉娜。
Hannah was nine and Alex was six.
汉娜9岁，艾利克斯6岁。
“Come and see my new bike,” said Hannah.
汉娜说，快来看我的新自行车。
“My old one is too small for me now , and the brakes need fixing.”
以前的自行车太小了，刹车也需要修理。
Hannah's mum came out to see the girls. She looked at Alex,and she looked at the little bike.
汉娜的妈妈出来了。她看着艾利克斯，又看着这辆小自行车。
“Hannah's little blue bike would be just right for you ,”she said.
她说汉娜的蓝色小自行车你正合适。
“Your dad is good at fixing things . If he can fix the brakes , you can have the bike .”
你的爸爸擅长修理。如果他能把刹车修好，你就能拥有这辆车。
Alex was so pleased.
艾利克斯非常高兴。
Hannah helped Alex to push the little bike over to her place.
汉娜帮助艾利克斯将小自行车搬到了她的地方。
Alex showed it to Mum.
艾利克斯向妈妈展示。
“You are lucky ,”said Mum.
妈妈说，你真幸运。
“But let's put it in the shed. I don't want you to ride it if it's not safe. Dad will have a good lood at it as soon as he can.”
但是我们把它放到小屋里吧，如果自行车不安全，我是不会让你骑的。爸爸会帮你看一看。
The next day , when Alex got home from school , she ran to look in the shed.
第二天，当艾利克斯从学校回来时，她跑去了小屋。
The bike was in bits all over the floor.
自行车零件满地都是。
“Oh , Dad!” she cried.
她叫喊到，爸爸！
“Can't you fix it ?”
你不会修理吗？
“I hope I can ,” said Dad.

“But you will just have to wait and see.”

Alex didn't feel very happy.
艾利克斯不高兴了。
She wanted a bike that she could ride.

The next morning, Alex went to see if Dad had fixed the bike.
第二天早上，艾利克斯想去看看爸爸是否已经修理了自行车。
But he had gone to work , and the door of the shed was locked.
但是爸爸去上班了，小屋的门上锁了。
“I will have to wait all day for Dad to get home ,” said Alex.
艾利克斯说，我要等一天才行。
When Dad got home from work , he opened the shed door.
爸爸回家后，他开启了小屋的房门。
Then he came out with the bike.
他拿着这辆车出来了。
It was red now!
它变成了红色。
“Oh , thanks , Dad ,”said Alex.
艾利克斯说，谢谢你，爸爸。
“It looks just like a new bike.”
这就像是辆新车。
“I fixed it for you last night ,”said Dad.
爸爸说，我昨晚为你修理的。
“Now you can ride it .”
你现在可以骑了。
“Hannah , Hannah !” called Alex.
艾利克斯叫喊到，汉娜！汉娜！
“Come and see my new bike .”
