Once upon a time, There was an ant, who went down to a pond to get a drink of water.
从前有一只蚂蚁，他去河边喝水。
But he was in too much of a hurry.
但是他走得太着急了。
As he ran down to the pond , his tiny feet slipped in the mud, and he fell into the water.
当他向河边走时，他的小脚在泥中滑到了，他掉进了河里。
The ant could not swim.
蚂蚁不会游泳。
He went round and round in the cold water.

There was no one to help him.

A dove was sitting up in a tree by the pond.

She looked down from her branch,and saw the little ant in the water.

The dove wanted to help the ant.
鸽子想去帮助蚂蚁。
She took a leaf in her beak,and let it fall into the water.

The leaf came down beside the ant and he climbed onto it.
叶子落在了蚂蚁旁边，蚂蚁爬了上去。
The dove had saved him!
鸽子救了他。
Then the leaf moved slowly across the pond.
叶子在水中慢慢移动。
It stopped by some long grass.
草丛停住了叶子。
But as the ant rested on the grass, he saw a man's foot right beside him.
当蚂蚁在叶子上休息时，他看见旁边有一只人类的脚。
He looked up ,and saw that the man had a net in his hand.
他往上看，他看见他手中拿着网兜。
The man was going to catch the dove!
这个人想抓住鸽子。
Now it was the ant's turn to save the dove.
现在是蚂蚁营救鸽子的时候了。
He ran onto the man's foot,and bit him as hard as he could.
他跑向了那人的脚，用尽全身力气咬了上去。
The man shouted out ,and the dove turned around.
男人尖叫起来，鸽子回头一看。
She saw the man with the net!
她看见了手中拿着网兜的男子。
Thanks to the little ant,the dove had time to fly away.
多亏了这个小蚂蚁，鸽子飞走了。
And that is the story of how the dove helped the ant and the ant helped the dove.
