Once upon a time, there were three Billy Goats Gruff.
从前，有三只山羊，名叫嘎啦。
There was a little Billy Goat Gruff, a middle-sized Billy Goat Gruff, and a great big Billy Goat Gruff.
一只小山羊，一只中型个头山羊，还有一只大山羊。
One day in spring, the big Billy Goat Gruff said, the snow has gone now, and the grass on the hillside is sweet and green.
有一年的春天，大山羊说冬天走了，现在山上的草又甜又绿。
The middle-sized Billy Goat Gruff said, we can all go across the bridge to eat the sweet green grass.
中型山羊说我们可以穿过桥去吃草。
The little Billy Goat Gruff came to the bridge first……
小山羊首先来到了桥边。
But under that bridge lived a mean old troll.
桥底下住着一只可怕的山怪。
“Who's that coming over my bridge?” roared the troll.
山怪咆哮道，谁来了？
“It's me,” said the little Billy Goat Gruff.
小山羊说，是我。
“I'm going to eat the sweet green grass on the hill.”
我要去山上去吃草。
“Oh, no you are not,” roared the troll, “I'm coming to gobble you up.”
山怪咆哮道，我将把你吃掉。
“No! No!” said the little Billy Goat Gruff. “Don't eat me! I'm too little. My big brother is coming soon. You can eat him!”
小山羊说，不，别吃我，我太小了，我的大哥马上要来，你可以吃他。
“Very well. Be off with you, then!” roared the troll.
山怪咆哮道，很好，你可以走了。
So the little Billy Goat Gruff ran over the bridge.
小山羊走过了桥。
Soon the middle-sized Billy Goat Gruff came to the bridge.
中型山羊来到了桥边。
“Who's that coming over my bridge?”roared the troll
谁来了？
“It's me,” said the middle-sized Billy Goat Gruff, “I'm going to eat the sweet green grass on the hill.”
中型山羊说，是我，我要去山上吃草。
“Oh, no you are not!” roared the troll. “I'm coming to gobble you up.”
山怪咆哮道，不，我要把你吃掉。
“No! No!” said the middle-sized Billy Goat Gruff. “Don't eat me! I'm too little. My big brother is coming soon. You can eat him!”
中型山羊说，不，别吃我，我太小了，我的大哥马上要来，你可以吃他。
“Very well. Be off with you, then!” roared the troll.
山怪咆哮道，很好，你可以走了。
So the middle-sized Billy Goat Gruff ran over the bridge.
中型山羊穿过了桥。
Then the great big Billy Goat Gruff came to the bridge.
大山羊来了。
“Who's that coming over my bridge?” roared the troll.
山怪咆哮道，谁来了？
“It's me,” said the great big Billy Goat Gruff,
大山羊说，是我。
“I'm coming to gobble you up.” roared the troll.
山怪咆哮道，我将把你吃掉。
“Oh, no you are not!” shouted the great big Billy Goat Gruff.
大山羊说，你不会的。
Then the great big Billy Goat Gruff put his head down, and he ran at the troll.
大山羊把头低下，冲山怪跑去。
He butted him with his horns. He butted that mean old troll off the bridge, and down into the water.
他用羊角顶他，他将山怪顶下了桥，山怪掉进了河里。
And the three Billy Goat Gruff never saw the mean old troll again.
三只山羊再也没有见过山怪。
