Sam patted Bingo.

“Your hair is long, Bingo,” she said. “I can't see your eyes.”

Mom laughed.

“Look in the mirror, Sam,” she said.

“Your hair is very long. I will take you to have it cut.”

After school, Sam went with Mum to have her hair cut.
放学后，山姆和妈妈一起来剪头。
“Hello, Sam,” said the hairdresser.
理发师说你好啊，山姆。
“Climb up here on this big chair. I will cut your hair for you.”
爬到椅子上来。我要为你剪头。
Sam looked at Mum and she looked at the hairdresser.
山姆看着妈妈。她看着理发师。
“I like long hair,” said Sam.
山姆说，我喜欢长头发。
“All the girls at school have long hair. My new teacher has got long hair, too. I don't want to have my hair cut today.”
学校的女生都是长头发。我的新老师也是长头发。我今天不想剪头。
The hairdresser said to Sam, “I won't cut a lot off. I will cut a little bit off. Then you can see if you like it.”
理发师对山姆说，我不会剪太短。我只是剪一点。之后你再决定是否喜欢。
So Sam climbed onto the chair.
山姆爬上了椅子。
Sam sat very still and she shut her eyes.

She did not want to look in the mirror.

The hairdresser started to cut Sam's hair.

Sam opened her eyes and looked down at the hair on the floor.

She looked in the mirror.
她看了看镜子。
And she looked over at Mum.

Then Sam's teacher came in.
一会儿，山姆的老师来了。
“Hello, Sam,” she said.
她说，你好啊，山姆。
“I'm getting my hair cut today, too. My hair is too long.”
我今天也剪头。我的头发太长了。
Sam smiled.
山姆笑了笑。
Sam said to the hairdresser, “My hair is too long. Can you cut some more off, please?”
山姆对理发师说，我的头发太长了，你能帮我多剪一点吗？
