The wind and the Toys
风和玩具
Billy was coming down the street in his big red wagon.
比利乘着他的大红马车走在大街上。
Little Toy Dog and Little Toy Cat were in the wagon with him.
玩具小狗和玩具小猫和他一起坐在马车上。
He saw his mother at the door.
他看到妈妈在门旁。
"Hello, Mother!" he said.
“你好,妈妈”!他说。
"I took my toys for a ride.
“我带着我的玩具去兜风了。
Mother said, "That is fine, Billy.
妈妈说,“那很好啊,比利。
But it is going to rain soon, and you must come in."
但是马上就要下雨了,你必须进屋里来。”
Soon the rain came down.
很快雨就下起来了。
Billy ran into the house, but he did not put his toys away.
比利跑进了屋子里,但是他没有把他的玩具收进来。
Faster and faster came the rain.
雨越下越大。
Soon the red wagon, the toy dog and the toy cat were very, very wet.
没过多久,红马车、玩具狗和玩具猫都被雨淋透了。
Night was coming, but no one put the toys away.
天就要黑了,还是没有人把玩具收走。
In the night the wind came along.
晚上刮起风了。
"Oo-oo, oo-oo, oo-oo," it said.
“呜,呜,呜”,风说。
Come with me, red wagon.
跟我来,红马车。
Come along with me.
跟我来吧。
Away went the big red wagon down the street.
红马车顺着大街跑远了。
Away went Little Toy Cat and Little Toy Dog.
玩具小猫和玩具小狗也跟着一起跑远了。
On, on they went down the hill.
它们跑啊跑,跑下了小山。
"Oo-oo, oo-oo, oo-oo," said the wind.
“呜,呜,呜”,风说。
Next morning the sun was shining.
第二天早上,阳光灿烂。
Billy looked in the front yard for his toys.
比利在前院里找他的玩具。
But he did not see them.
但他没有找到它们。
"Where is my wagon?" he said.
“我的马车哪里去了”?他说。
"Where is Little Toy Dog?
“我的玩具小狗呢?
Where is Little Toy Cat?
我的玩具小猫呢?
Oh, dear! Oh, dear!
噢,天哪!噢,天哪!
I wish I had put them away.
我要是把它们收进来就好了。
Just then a little girl came along.
就在这时,一位小女孩走了过来。
She had the big red wagon.
她带着一辆大红马车。
She had Toy Dog and Toy Cat, too.
她也带着玩具狗和玩具猫。
"Hello, Billy!" said the little girl.
“你好,比利”!小女孩说。
"I found your toys in the street.
“我在大街上找到了你的玩具。
The wind took them down the hill.
风把它们刮到了小山下。
They are very, very wet.
它们全都湿透了。
"Oh, thank you, Betty," said Billy.
“噢,谢谢你,贝蒂”,比利说。
Next time I will put them away.
下次我会把它们收进来的。
