LESSON 51 AUTUMN
第五十一课 秋天
Autumn has come. The green leaves are fading. Some have fallen from the trees, and are lying dead on the ground.
秋天来了，树叶开始凋零。有的已经脱离母树，死寂般的躺在地面。
Now is the time for fruit. Apples, pears, plums, and all kinds of fruit are ripe.
这是水果成熟的季节。苹果，梨子，李子，各种各样的水果都成熟了。
The corn, too, is ripe. The reapers begin to cut it down. See how the tall stalks nod and wave in the sunshine! They bend under the weight of the golden grain.
玉米也成熟了。收割者开始收割。瞧！高高的茎秆在阳光下点头摇曳！他们被金黄色的玉米粒压弯了腰。
How many loaves of bread will be made from that field of wheat! How many hungry mouths will be fed from it! When we eat our food, let us not forget to thank Him who causes the corn to grow.
那片田野的小麦要制造出多少块面包！要喂饱多少张饥饿的嘴巴！当我们吃食物的时候，不要忘记那些播种玉米的人。
The autumn winds are sighing,
秋风在低沉
Sighing in the trees;
吹过树林
The ripened corn is waving,
成熟的玉米在挥舞
Waving in the breeze.
在风中摇曳
The harvest moon is shining,
丰收的月亮在照耀
Shining in the night;
照亮一片黑暗
Over hill and valley
照过山坡峡谷
In floods of silver light.
散出金色的光辉
The swallows come together,
大雁归来
Together from the eaves,
从屋檐下归来
Waiting for the falling,
等待凋零
The falling of the leaves.
树叶的凋零
They know the time is coming,
他们知道时间已经到来了
The time when they must flee
他们必须逃离的时间
Away to brighter sunshine,
去追寻更亮的阳光
Far, far across the sea.
很远，远道要跨越海洋
