Unit 8 Keeping Safe Lesson32 Exercise 1.4 Welcome back to the show. Today we're talking about safety-- especially safety for teenagers. Robin Thomas is here to give us some tips. So,Robin, what is the most important thing to remember? Well,as a basic rule, when you go out, always tell your parents where you are going, and who you are going with, and --this is very important -- what time you expect to be home. When teenagers go out , they usually take some money with them. What can they do to keep safe? First,it's not a good idea to carry a lot of money with you. Also, you shouldn't carry an expensive handbag or purse because this just attracts attention. If you have to carry some money with you, keep it in different places. What do you mean? Well, for example, you can keep some money in your pocket and some in your sock or in your shoe. And another thing,it's better to keep your money out of sight until you need to use it. Okay. What else should teenagers remember? When you're out walking, it's not a good idea to take short--cuts across dark areas, empty buildings,or parking lots. Stay on the main street.
