But for buying something special like a gift or some new clothes people will still go to stores. Pastime in the future. There will be changes here. People won't buy CDs and DVDs anymore. There will download music and movies onto their own computers from the internet. However,some things will stay the same. For example. people will still go to the theater to watch a play or to see a concert. That won't change. Travel in the future. We will see changes in travel. People will still travel to popular holiday places such as beaches or the mountains , but they will also take vacations on other planets. Reading in the future. I think we will see some changes here. We will read some things-- especially for work or for study-- on a computer. But when we want to enjoy a good story. we will still read a traditional book. Exercise 2.2 Welcome back to Modern Living. So, let's talk about your predictions for the future let's start with shopping. Many people now buy things using the internet. Will more people do this in the future? Yes,they will . People will like to buy things using the Internet. It's very easy. Will we still buy things from stores? Yes,we will , especially small things that we need every day such as milk or bread. Will traditional money disapear? No,it won't . We will still have traditional money as well as credit cards. Will there still be banks in the future? Yes,there will . But we won't visit banks very often because we can do everything using the Internet In fact,many people have already done this. Let's talk about education. In the future,will children still go to school Yes,they will. It is improtant for children to learn with other children. Will students still use textbooks? Yes,They will, but they will also use computers a lot. Will homework disappear? No,it won't .There will still be homework but it will change. How will it change? Students won't write their homework on paper and hand it to their teacher. They will write it on a computer and send it to their teacher by e-mail.
