Danny,Jenny and Brian stand in front of the class.Everyonelaughs.
Danny is wearing his swimsuit!Okay,everyone!says Jenny.
We are going to show you an interesting experiment.Danny sitsdown.
Brian puts water into the jar.
He puts the card-board on top of the jar.
He puts his hand on the cardboard and turns the jar upsidedown.
Then he holds the jar above Danny's head.
Next,Brian will take his hand off the cardboard,says Jenny.
Now,you know why I'm wearing my swimsuit,says Danny
Are you ready,Danny?
I guess so.Danny's theory is that he will now get wet,saysJenny.
Is he right,class?Yes,I think so!says one student.
No,I don't think so says Brian.Brian takes away hishand.Brian's right!
Are you surprised,class?asks Jenny.
Examine the jar and the cardboard.
We have discovered that cardboard can hold the water in.

Brian,can you explain?say Jenny.The air pushes up on thecardboard,says Brian.
